Oldies But Goodies Nirvana & Blind Melon

So I was on YouTube...as I usually am, looking at videos and I remembered a photo I saw today of Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean. This is a quote from her which makes me like her even more:

"These people are fascinated by me, but I haven’t done anything. I’m famous by default. I came out of the womb andpeople wanted to know who I was because of my parents. If you’re a big Nirvana fan, a big Hole fan, then I understand why you would want to get to know me, but I’m not my parents. People need to wait until I’ve done something valid with my life."

Frances Cobain did a Harper's Bazaar photo shoot and she also did a shoot in her fathers PJs and cardigan which I thought was so endearing in Elle.



























I also remembered the No Rain video by Blind Melon and had to watch it.



I still love this song, 16 years after hearing it the first time. I love, love, love this song. I think Blind Melon is probably the most underrated band of the 90s. It is such a tragedy that talent like Shannon Hoon, the lead singer, was lost to drugs. He died of a drug overdose in 1995. Rest In Peace Shannon.

Sooooo i'm trying to study since I have finals next week and for some strange reason, I can't seem to force this information into my brain!!! Break?

M.A.C. Job?!?!?!?!?!

Soooooo...I was getting ready to go to school yesterday evening and I got a phone call from an unknown number. Lo and behold I answer the phone and it was the MANAGER from my local M.A.C. counter. A little while back, I walked into the store to Back 2 MAC some stuff and get a new lippie and the manager was actually working behind the counter. She asked me who did my MU since there was an event going on that day and I told her I did it. She was in TOTAL SHOCK! Her face was priceless, made me feel soooo good about my MU skills. Because, as most don't know, my dream job is to work for MAC. Anyway, she asked me to bring her my resume and of course I did. When I got the phone call I was completely shocked because besides the Navy, i've never had a job before certainly not in retail, I don't even freelance so I never expected to get a call back.

Buuuut, i'm going on Va-Cay next week so I couldn't go in for the interview but as soon as I get back i'm goin in for the interview. Any suggestions on which type of look I should rock out?
